Macyn's Here!!!

Today we were finally blessed with the arrival of Macyn Ali Steele. Jen's water broke at midnight and went into labor shortly after that. She had an epidural at 4am and was able to sleep the rest of the morning. She started pushing at 10:30am and out she came at 11:18am. She wins biggest baby award for the ward today... 9 lbs 5 oz! She looks just like mommy did at birth, but she has my lips and feet??? She is already breastfeeding like a champ, I guess when you are 9 lbs. you didn't get that way by accident!

Jen wanted hot dogs as her first meal so they are on the way. Thanks to everyone for their loving support and prayers. We could not be happier!!!!

The Waiting Game

We have less than two weeks until Macyn's due date and the wait is driving me bananas! You would think that since I've been waiting 9 months, two weeks would be nothing but the days are really just dragging. Although I am getting excited about Macyn's arrival I am a little hesitant about giving birth. I am a little nervous because of the obvious...PAIN but I also am a little sad that I won't be pregnant anymore. It may sound a bit selfish but I LOVE the fact that it's just me and her and I get to keep her all to myself. When she's born, I'll have to share her with everyone and I don't want to yet. I guess that does sound selfish but that's just the way that I feel! I am a bit conflicted b/c although I feel this way, I can't wait to give Dax a daughter and our parents a grandchild and to share her with our family and friends. I guess I will just have to enjoy these last few weeks of just the two of us while I can. She will be here so soon!

FOUR MORE WEEKS!!

I hope everyone enjoyed reading Dax's post. I haven't written one in a while and he wanted to try his hand at blogging. But now back to my posts! We only have FOUR MORE WEEKS until little Macyn makes her debut! I can't wait, just one little month and she'll be here! We are almost all ready. We just have to install the car seat and put together a couple of things like the pack n' play, the bouncer, the swing...pretty much everything except for the crib! Plus we need to order a glider for the baby which we're waiting on b/c they're a little pricey! But it'll be worth it when she gets here! I can't wait!!! FOUR MORE WEEKS, FOUR MORE WEEKS!!!!

Daddy needs a job!

Post by Dax: We are all anxious for the little one to get here. We still have to tour the hospital, even though I work right next door.... The nursery is all set, but we still have to get a glider. I started the job hunt and there are a lot of jobs out there so it is going to be tough to start limiting them down. Jen says we can move anywhere, but I almost wish that we had 1 place in mind and we could focus on that city. Anyways the next couple of months will be very exciting. Macyn moving in with us and then figuring where we all are going to move next year....

Getting Ready for Baby!!

Only 6 more weeks until this little bun in the oven going to be ready! I can't wait. We have all of the major necessities...crib, carseat, and a closet full of baby gear all washed and ready for our little arrival! My next Dr.'s appointment is on Monday and they'll be able to give me the pre-registration information for the hospital so I can sign up and take a tour of Labor and Delivery and get all set for Macyn! The waiting around is KILLING me! I know that the time will probably pass pretty quickly but it seems like it is just DRAGGING along. I think I need something to occupy my time so it goes a little more quickly.

My Pregnant Belly: 33 Weeks

Ahhh, the pregnant belly at 33 weeks. I am getting pretty BIG which means so is Macyn. Only 7 more weeks to go (if she is a good baby and comes out on time!) We have the crib all ready for her arrival. I can't wait! We are going to have so much fun, me and my little growing family! I can't wait to have a little buddy to go explore the city with!
