With the news of our little bundle of joy arriving, I wanted to create a space that family and friends could view our ever changing lives. With our move to NC, I thought this would be a great opportunity to share missed memories until we are able to see each other again.

Update: Our Little Chubster
We went to Macyn's Dr.'s appointment today and she gained 6 ounces from Sunday which is a GREAT sign! She is our little Chubster again!! She also had to have another heel prick to check her biliruben and it went down to 15.8, another 2 points. With that plus her weight gain, her Dr. siad she is doing very well and we won't have to have any more weight checks until her one month appointment...YAY!!! Right now she is sleeping in her pack and play, happy and healthy. This is such a huge relief. I am so happy that she is all better, she is our little Chubster.
My Daddy M.D. Poem
I saw this poem in my Dr.'s office and I fell in love with it, it made me a little teary-eyed thinking of Macyn and her Daddy!
Whenever Daddy signs his name,
He always writes M.D.,
so everyone will know,
that he belongs to me.
For M.D. means “My Daddy”,
or something just the same.
And that is why he always
puts these letters in his name.
Some letters in his name are
small, but these are not,
you see. He always makes them
big like that because he’s so proud of me.

Halmoni, Haraboji, and Aunt Dori come for a visit
Sunday night my parents and little sister made the 8 hour drive down here to meet their granddaughter and niece. They arrived at 4:00 a.m. and were just in time, Macyn was just finishing up a feeding. It was like she knew they were coming and wanted to be prepared and ready! We were able to spend the whole day Monday together where they held here and coddled her. She was very well behaved and hardly cried at all. She was excited to meet her family. Unfortunately, the visit was way too short and they had to leave that night but it was great just having them here even if it was only for the day. I'm glad they were able to meet her now, these days are truly precious. She is constantly changing. I'm so happy she got to meet her moni, boji and auntie. I can't wait to hang out with them again, hopefully soon!!!

Dr.'s Appointment
Stretching to take a little nap.
So we went to the Dr.'s again today to check her weight and get another heel prick for her biliruben. She gained an ounce of weight and her biliruben level went down by 1/2 a point so the Dr. thinks that her jaundice has peeked and is going to go down. She just has to keep gaining steady weight. We are going to schedule another Dr.'s appointment on Wednesday to have her weight checked again and she's going to have to have another heel prick...poor baby. She's a little trooper! But I think she's doing well, we're trying to give her as much sunlight as possible to reduce the yellowness. She is gaining more and more personality and making the cutest little faces.
Can't wait for my parents and Hyea Jin to get here so they can get to know her! Here are some pics from today and I will definitely take more when the fam gets here!

One Whole Week
Today is Macyn's one week birthday. I can't believe that she is already a week old! She has changed so much in so little time it truly is amazing. She is doing a lot better in this short period of time. She lost a little weight after coming home but now she is feeding like a champ and in a span of 2 days gained back 4 ounces which is really good news. She is still being tested for jaundice, she will have another weigh in and heel prick on Sunday but the Dr. says that her progress is good so he expects more positive results when we go in tomorrow. I can't wait for all of these tests to be done and over with! Every time she gets her little heel prick she cries like crazy and I feel so bad because I just have to sit there and watch.
She still won't sleep in the crib, needing to be held in order to stay asleep but hopefully when she matures a little more she will be able to stay asleep in the crib. She doesn't even like the Snuggle Nest. She is spoiled already I guess!
We can't wait for everyone to meet her. My mom, dad and sister are coming down tomorrow night and leaving Monday night, they are so excited. I feel bad b/c of the long drive but they are just too excited not to come. I can't wait! She will love them!
