The Turkey is Done

You know how they say when a woman is pregnant and her "innie" belly buttton starts to stick out that means the "turkey is done," she is ready to pop?! Well, I think my turkey timer is a little off because my belly button is really sticking out. Not all the way but noticeably enough to where it sticks out from under some shirts...

I guess little Macyn is too excited to see the world but she is going to have to wait!!!!

The Joys of Pregnancy

When I would talk to people about being pregnant, although most had their complaints, a lot of people said that they actually MISSED being pregnant. I was skeptical at first but it's hard not to be when you're throwing up, you can't eat anything and you feel bloated 24/7. Why would I ever miss that? Now, I definitely feel the joys of being pregnant. When she kicks, I feel like she's trying so hard from the womb to say hello, to let me know that she's okay. I am constantly wondering what she is doing and how she is feeling. I sing to her all the time. I'm not sure if she likes my off-tune ballads about babies but she doesn't seem to mind. I love knowing that she and I have a special bond. It's amazing to me how much I can love someone that I've never even met. It not only makes me appreciate being pregnant and becoming a mother but it makes me appreciate all mothers, especially my own. Is this how she felt when she was carrying my sisters and me?
So even with the throwing up, the weight gain, and the fact that I can't enjoy a hot dog I really LOVE being pregnant!

We're having a......

GIRL!!!!! We are going to have a little baby girl. She will be Macyn Ali Steele. We had our second ultrasound and we got to see everything from her head to her belly to her hands and feet. I am so excited. Dax was happy to have a little princess. I know he really wanted a son but seeing him with Gwen, I know she will be Daddy's Little Girl!!!
During the ultrasound we found out that her heart rate is 149, normal and healthy. They took plenty of measurements and everything is A-OK!! She has long limbs so she might be tall just like her mommy. She was being a little stubborn when they tried to look at her heart. They didn't get any pictures because she would not budge enough to give them a good view, just like her daddy!!
They only gave us 3 pictures because we brought in a DVD to record the whole thing but the pictures are nice profiles of the little peanut!!
I am so thrilled, I can't wait to dress her up and take her on mother-daughter outings!!!

Our Little Macyn:

Baby Kicks

Last night while watching T.V. I felt the baby moving which isn't an unsual occurrence but I was excited nonetheless. I put my hand on top of my belly and I noticed that I could feel something but I wasn't sure if I felt the baby from the inside or from the outside. I told Dax to come over to see if he could feel the baby and he could!!! This was the first time anyone in the "outside" world was able to feel the baby moving and man was it moving around!!! We laid on the bed for a good 5-10 minutes and the baby was really going crazy!!!

Renny or Macy?

We find out what the sex of the baby is on May 8th, 2009. I can't wait, it is less than a week away. I, honestly, would be thrilled with either a boy or a girl, as long as the baby is healthy and happy but I can't help but hope. But I have hope for either one so I think either way I will be truly happy.
I would love to have a son. A Garen "Renny" Daxton Steele Jr. It would be amazing to be able to give Dax a son. He says that he would be happy with either but I can tell he wants a boy because he calls my belly "Renny...or Macy." I would also love to give my daddy a grandson. After having 4 daughters, he needs a boy in the family. Plus, I think Garen would have a blast teaching "Little Garen" how to golf!
I would also love to have a daughter. She would be Macyn "Macy" Ali Steele. I could dress her up in the cutest clothes. We could have mother/daughter lunches. Growing up with four loving sisters and an absolutely amazing mother, I would love to add to our brood with another Kim girl. Well, half Kim girl. But even half is pretty amazing.
So I guess either way I will be thrilled. AAHHH! I can't wait and I will definitely keep you "posted." haha!!

My New Game: Baby or Gas

I felt the baby moving for the first time on Sunday...wasn't sure if it was gas or if the baby wanted some attention!! I am 99% positive that it was the little peanut trying to say "Hi." Well, I said hi back.
Afterward, I definitely felt some movement and I don't mean my bowels...haha! I don't know what the baby is doing but it feels like it is rolling around over and over. It is very weird.
I went out to lunch the other day and it started moving again. The radio was playing country music so I think the baby is a fan...uh oh. I then felt some kicking. It was so minor it might have been gas. But that's my new game as the title clearly states. I look forward to feeling something, anything and every time it happens I get so excited!! I can't wait to meet the little peanut. We are half way there!!!
